The Texas A&M University team GigEmBytes was the winner of the 2018 Alamo Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association’s annual Capture the Flag competition held on Nov. 7. The competition, sponsored by Deloitte, featured challenges from a wide range of categories including web, crypto, reverse engineering and forensics.

Their team was able to pull ahead early in the competition and continued to lead throughout, giving them a decisive victory. Their competition included eight other university teams from the surrounding San Antonio area, including The University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
