pentest+ logo
CompTIA Pentest+ exam assesses the most up-to-date penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and management skills necessary to determine the resiliency of the network against attacks. Successful completion of the course will earn you 2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center.

The Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center (TAMC2) has partnered with the one and only, Jason Dion, to help deliver content and keep you engaged as you achieve your learning objectives. Jason has trained over 200,000 students worldwide in his cybersecurity, information technology, and project management classes. He has a talent for making complicated concepts easy to understand, engaging, and even fun!

In this course you will prepare to pass the CompTIA Pentest+ certification exam with confidence. This course covers all five domains of the exam:

  • Planning and Scoping (15%)
  • Information Gathering and Vulnerability Identification (22%)
  • Attacks and Exploits (30%)
  • Penetration Testing Tools (17%)
  • Reporting and Communication Total (16%)

This course is adapted to the PT0-002 version of the CompTIA Pentest+ Exam.

Please direct questions about the certificate to Diane Cornwell. For questions related to the registration process, please contact TEES EDGE.

HOW THIS COURSE WORKS

This is a self-paced, asynchronous course, where you can come and go.

The course includes around 100 short and easy modules with videos and notes that cover the concepts step by step. Short assessments at the end of each module check your knowledge. You will have the opportunity to practice what you learn with our practice labs in the course. Major objectives will be assessed at the end of the learning modules with the opportunity to practice for the CompTIA Pentest+ exams just like you would when you take the test.

Your instructor, Diane Cornwell, will facilitate, encourage, help, and ensure that you finish what you started. Finally, once you are ready, we will issue you a voucher to take the exam from a certified CompTIA location or proctored online.

Important Notice for Veterans and Military Personnel:

Please note that the online CompTIA certification courses offered by the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center are non-academic and do not typically qualify for GI Bill® or military tuition assistance benefits.
