The Texas A&M Defense Cyber Leadership Development Program (DCLDP) is currently accepting applications for the 2021-2022 academic year. The DCLDP is a two-year program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense and administered through the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center, which prepares select students for military or civilian careers with Department of Defense organizations. It complements a student’s existing degree path by providing opportunities for hands-on experience, industry certifications, summer internships, leadership development, and individual mentoring. The DCLDP is open to rising Juniors, as well as well-qualified Sophomores and Seniors. Program benefits total approximately $29,000 per student over two years and incur no service obligations.
The DCLDP supports DoD efforts to fill a broad range of work roles, with emphasis on: Data Scientists; Capability Developers; Network Operators; Operations Research Analysts; Reverse Engineers; Malware and Exploitation Analysts; Big Data Analysts; Vulnerability Researchers; and Information Operations Integrators.
