What?

A hands-on activities based training that introduces teachers to the basics of the Linux operating system, programming in python, basic electronics, and cybersecurity fundamentals. No equipment needed! The Raspberry Pi computer, along with the pi-top 3 portable kit, will be provided to all participants—delivered straight to your door—for use in the course. Fully-capable, credit-card-sized computers that cost approximately $35 each, Raspberry Pis are wonderful additions to your STEAM classroom. They are easy on the budget and allow students to participate and interact with tactile computing. The course will provide you all of the training and resources you need to integrate them into your curriculum.

The best part? The computer and kit are yours to keep to use in your classroom with your students!

You will also earn 4 CEUS from the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station upon completion of this course.

There is a bonus! Training to prepare for the CompTIA Security+ Certification will be included for all teachers accepted into the program at no cost! The concepts covered in this course are industry standard fundamentals of cybersecurity, and it will prepare you to take the certification exam. You should feel confident teaching what you learned in this course to your students.
