Dr. Daniel Ragsdale, Computer Science and Engineering, and Dr. Trez Jones, Educational Administration and Human Resource Development, lead a training class for the Certified Professional Ethical Hacker (CPEH) certification exam.
The CPEH certification training enables students to understand the importance of vulnerability assessments by providing industry knowledge and skills in Vulnerability Assessments. In doing so, the CPEH student is able to understand how malware and destructive viruses function. In addition, the CPEH course helps students learn how to implement counter response and preventative measures when it comes to a network hack.
The class was made of 12 Texas A&M University faculty, students, and staff and took place over the span of 5 days. The certification course was offered at a much lower rate than one would find online, and included live instruction.
