Focus at Four: How internet providers can sell your browser history

The future of internet privacy is now in the hands of President Donald Trump.

The House and Senate have both voted to repeal new FCC internet privacy rules that would have prevented internet providers from selling customers' browsing habits without their consent. The rules also would have required internet providers to protect that data from hackers and inform customers of any breaches.

The legislation to repeal those rules is now awaiting President Trump's signature.

Dan Ragsdale is the director of the Cybersecurity Center at Texas A&M University. He joined First News at Four to discuss the implications of these regulations, or lack thereof.
