Director, Defense Advanced Research Projects (DARPA) Information Innovation Office
With his deep insight into both technical and policy challenges required to secure our critical infrastructure, Dr. John Launchbury provided a foundation for the solution building which took place throughout the summit.
Dr. John Launchbury is the Director of the Information Innovation Office (I2O) at DARPA. In this role he develops strategy and works with I2O program managers to develop new programs and transition program products. Before joining DARPA, Dr. Launchbury was founder and chief scientist for Galois Inc., a full professor at the OGI School of Science and Engineering at OHSU (Oregon), and earned many honors including induction as Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
