Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience in cyber security; or 3+ years of professional experience in cyber security with a related Master’s degree from an accredited college.
– Experience in system security design and architecture for tactical systems.
– Experience in security requirements identification, control allocation / verification, and Assessment and Authorization (A&A formerly Certification and Accreditation C&A) evidence gathering.
– Experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle and system security techniques.
– Experience with security requirements allocation and requirement tracing techniques.

Desired skills:
– Experience evaluating security components against their ability to resist threats in their intended environment
– Experience with Cyber Security architecture concepts including Trusted Computing Base (TCB), security communications, Cryptography, knowledge of TEMPEST & NSA End Cryptographic Unit (ECUs) requirements, key management plans and DoD Anti-Tamper.
– Experience in security requirements identification/tracing, control allocation / verification, and Assessment and Authorization evidence gathering.
– Experience with Systems Engineering lifecycle

Duties: In this position, you will be providing program/project management support for information technology (IT) and/or cybersecurity related programs and/or projects. Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Examine strategic direction for program initiatives and activities, personnel, infrastructure, policy enforcement, emergency planning, IT and/or cybersecurity awareness, and/or other resources.
  • Consult with customers to define project scope and objectives, and evaluate functional requirements; coordinate with systems architects and developers, as needed, to provide oversight in the development of design solutions.
  • Research and identify available technologies and standards to meet customer requirements; Assist in the identification of functional and security related features to find opportunities for new capability developments to exploit or mitigate cyber vulnerabilities
  • Support the design and development of secure interface specifications between interconnected systems; support the design, develop, and integration of system security measures (including polices and requirements) that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability authentication, and non-repudiation
  • Support the development of architectures or system components consistent with technical specifications.

Education Qualifications: To qualify for the GS-09 pay grade you must have completed a master’s degree; or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to that degree at an accredited college or university in a field that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. To qualify for the GS-11 pay grade you must have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree (L.L.M, if related), that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this work.

Salary: $49,765 to $103,639  per year
